Nu Posto - pizza bar

Nu Posto is a Neopolitan Pizza and Pasta restaurant with XX covers located in the heart of Brighton. Fiona took on the bookkeeping responsibility for the restaurant at a time when they had been without bookkeeping services for some four months.

The company used Sage 50 and Sage 50 payroll as well as Clover, a cloud-based point of sale system. In ‘catching up’ on a huge backlog of unprocessed sales and supplier invoices it became evident that the volumes of transactions could be best supported by the use of two further integrated cloud-based systems: Xero Accounting Software with payroll and Receipt Bank. Receipt Bank extracts the information from receipts and invoices quickly, accurately and efficiently. With Receipt Bank's superb integration, data can be sent easily into a company’s Xero account. Receipt Bank processed some 300 purchase invoices into Xero over a one and a half day period which, if input manually and filed manually, would take more than double the time.

The Sage solution required that Fiona physically worked on-site in a small, cramped office behind the kitchen which was too hot for focussed accounting work. The cloud-based systems require the owner or his staff to forward accounting documentation to pre-set email addresses which in turn enable Fiona to easily process the information without duplication of effort or error. The freedom of remote working enables Fiona to log in to Nu Posto accounts on a daily basis and to prioritise processing of transactions as well as to resolve any issues as they arise.
