Fiona was asked by a small design consultancy to review their administration and bookkeeping processes and systems as they were experiencing errors and inefficiencies as a result of duplication of entry across numerous software solutions and spreadsheets.
Their aim was to replace these systems and improve the accuracy and integrity of their data such that their day to day sales invoicing was complete and accurate, without duplication, providing data that is meaningful in terms of the day to day operations, cashflow, general management of the business and compliance in terms of financial accounting regulations for the small business.
Migrating the organisation from ‘Sage 50’ and an on-line non-integrated job costing software, ‘Harvest‘ to ‘Xero Accounting Software’, as well as a myriad of non-integrated spreadsheets, has provided the company with a one stop software for their operations and accounting. It has also eliminated the requirement for an in-house, on-site administrator as Xero is a virtual solution which enables Fiona to provide remote daily support keeping their accounts accurate up to the minute. Their accountants have adviser access which enables them to review and create the annual accounts for submission to Companies House. FJT invoices on a monthly basis to cover daily review of the Xero dashboard, to convert quotes to invoices, reply to emails, review and post the transactions from the bank to be reconciled as well as aged debtor chasing and aged creditor payments.
